Does Instagram have customer service by phone?

No. Instagram does not offer a general phone line for users anywhere in the world. If you find a number claiming to be “Instagram’s phone number”, it is most likely a premium-rate service or a scam looking for your details.

The official channels that do exist

• The Instagram Help Center. It brings together the official guides and the forms for each type of problem.
• Report a problem from the app. In settings, under help, you can send a report with screenshots. It also opens when you shake your phone if that option is on.
• Meta’s Account Recovery Center. For when you can’t get into your Instagram or Facebook account.
• The hacked account page, at instagram.com/hacked.
• Specific forms for impersonation, copyright or disabled accounts.
• Meta Verified. Meta’s paid subscription includes access to support for the subscribed account.

What doesn’t work

• Sending direct messages to Instagram’s official account.
• Commenting on Instagram’s or Meta’s posts.
• Writing to profiles that present themselves as “Instagram support”: they are not official.
• Emailing generic addresses found online.

How to write a report that gets understood
